A well with 10m inside diameter is dug 14m deep .Earth is taken out of it is spread all around it to make an embankment of height 14/3m . Find the width of the embankment

Vol of earth taken out= πr²h = (22/7)*7*7*15= 2310 m.³

Area of the embankment = π*(R²-r²).

Width of embankment= 7 m. So R= 7+7= 14 m.

Area= (22/7)*(14²-7²)= 462 m².

Therefore, height of embankment= 2310 m³/462 m² = 5m.
