Answer:

5 m

Step-by-step explanation:

volume of embankment = (pi) (h2) [(r2)^2-(r1)^2 ]

volume of embankment also = volume of earth dug out = (pi) (r1)^2 (h)

therefore, (pi) (r1^2) (h) = (pi) (h2) [ (r2^2) - (r1^2) ]

(r1^2) = (1/3) [ r2^2 - r1^2 ]

25 = (1/3) [ r2^2 - 25 ]

75 = r2^2 - 25

75+25 = r2^2

100 = r2^2

r2 = 10

therefore width of the embankment = r2-r1

= 10-5

= 5m
