a well with a diameter 8 m is dug 14m deep. earth taken out of it has been spread evenly all around to a width of 3 to form an embankment. find the height of the embankment​

radius of well (r) = 4m

hight of well = 14 m

width of embankment = 3m

Radius of embankment (R) = (4+3) = 7m

Volume of earth dug out = πr²h

= (22/7)4×4×14

= 704 m³

Area of embankment = π (R² - r²)

= (22/7)(7² -4²)

= (22/7)(49- 16)

= (22/7)(33)

= (726/7) m²

Therefore,

height of embankment = (704)/(726/7)

= (704×7)/(726)

= 4928/726

= 6.78 m
