a) What appears to happen to the weight of an object when it is submerged in water?

a) if an object is immersed in a fluid, it experiences an apparent loss of weight which is equal to the weight of fluid displaced.

b) Objects due however "appear" to weigh less in water. This is due to what is known as buoyancy.
