a. Antibiotics are the medicine that blocks the biochemical pathways of bacteria.

b. Bacteria make a cell wall to protect themselves, the antibiotic block this process and bacteria die because of unable to make the cell wall. Antibiotics work on many species of bacteria.

c. The antibiotic penicillin blocks the bacterial process of making the cell wall. As a result the growing bacteria become unable to make cell walls and die easily. The penicillin do not harm human cells.
