Answer:

a) Calcium hydroxide, also called slaked lime, Ca(OH)2, is obtained by the action of water on calcium oxide. When mixed with water, a small proportion of it dissolves, forming a solution known as limewater, the rest remaining as a suspension called milk of lime.

b) Air, water and land are natural resources i.e they are provided to us by nature. Land resources are considered to be a natural resource of utmost importance because they support natural vegetation, wildlife, human life, economic activities etc. Air is important for all the living organisms.

c) Fresh water is necessary for the survival of all living organisms on Earth. Our bodies are made up of about 60% water and we cannot survive more than a few days without it. Water is a precious substance that meets our physical needs while at the same time being of great spiritual importance to many people.
