Answer:

a) the tropic of cancer indicates the extreme northern position at which the sun appears directly overhead at noon.

the tropic of Capricorn indicates the extreme southern global positions at which appears directly overhead at noon.

b)the arctic circle is at a latitude of 66.5 degrees north of the equator.  This imaginary circle is the southernmost latitude in the northern hemisphere where the sun can remain above or below the horizon for 24 hours.

the Antarctic circle is at a latitude of 66.5 degrees south of the equator. This imaginary line is the northernmost latitude in the southern hemisphere where the sun can remain above or below the horizon for 24 hours.

c)the reason for the location of the tropic of cancer and the tropic of Capricorn at 23.5 degrees north and south, respectively, is due to the axial tilt of the Earth. The Earth is tilted 23.5 degrees from the plane of the Earth's revolution around the sun each year.

hope this helps!
