a. What happens to the shadow formed on a screen when i. The distance between the source of light and the object increases? ii. The distance between the object and the screen decreases? b. Why does the image of a red rose look red where as its shadow is black?

a.i) shadow becomes small

a.ii) shadow becomes big

b) because rose is not a translucent object

Translucent objects allow light to enter partially that is why we can see the colour of the object .
