Explanation:

a) Soaps are nothing but sodium salts or potassium salts of lengthy chain carboxylic acids i.e fatty acid  

eg- sodium stearate  

b) The Soap molecule consists of

i) lenghthy chain organic part

ii) ionic part

the lenghthy chain organic part remains insoluble in water on the otherhand the ionic part is soluble in water  

The structure of Soap resembles a tadpole like structure .

Find the structure of SOAP in the given attachment.

c) Soap molecules contains:-

i) hydrophobic

ii) hydrophilic parts

when soap is immersed in water the hydrophobic tail os soap wont get soluble in water and the soap will always get align along the water surface i.e ionic end dipped in water and hydrocarbon 'tail' protruding out of water.
