a) universal indicator can show us exactly how strongly acidic or alkaline solution is. this is measured using the pH scale. the pH scale Run from ph 0 to pH 14. universal indicator has many different colour change from red from strong acid to dark purple for strong bases .
b) A universal indicator is a pH indicator composed of a solution of several compound that exhibits several smooth colour change over a PH value range from 0 to 14 to indicate the acidity or alkalinity of solutions, where 7 indicates neutral .
c) a neutral substances formed by the neutralization reaction between an acid and a base. what is chemically neutral being mother acidity nor alkaline .universal indicator turns green yellow in neutral solution.

Answer:

Universal indicator is an indicator which is widely and mostly used to detect acidic or basic property of a substance.

For example, litmus paper:

Blue litmus turns red in presence of acid and red litmus turns blue in presence of a base.

Methyl orange: Orange colour of it turns pink in presence of an acid and it turns yellow due to a base.

A neutral substance may be defined as a substance which has pH=7.Distilled water has a pH of 7,so it is a neutral substance.

When a drop of universal indicator is added to the test tube containing distilled water ,it shows the green colour. This shows that the distilled water has pH=7.
