A) what is an electromagnet? how can we determine north and south pole of an electromagnet with the help of magnetized iron bar?

electromagnetic kind of magnet formed by the flow of electricity by a conductor which forms North and South Pole...... where North Pole is this side where current enters through the magnet and the other is South Pole where the current leaves the.......

When insulated copper wire is wrapped around a soft iron core and current is passed through it then this arrangement is called electromagnet.

To determine the poles of an electromagnet with the help of a bar magnet-
Take a bar magnet and suspend it freely in air. Note the direction of suspension that is in North and South direction.
Bring the North pole of bar magnet near the electromagnet. If electromagnet is attracted towards the bar magnet then that end is South pole and other is North.
If it is repulsed then the end is North pole and other is South pole.
