(a) What is Brownian motion? Draw a diagram to show the movement of a particle (like a pollen grain) during Brownian motion.
(b) In a beam of sunlight entering a room, we can sometimes see dust particles moving in a haphazard way in the air. Why do these dust particles move?

Irregular Travel is Brownian Motion

Explanation:

(a) The crisscross or irregular way made by the particles of body is called Brownian movement.

(b) The continuous crisscross development of small residue particles suspended in air results from their impact by the quick moving particles of air. This aimless or irregular bit of particles is known as Brownian movement.
