(a) Evaporation is a process by which a liquid state of matter changes into its gaseous state. Actually the change of state from liquid to vapour at all temperatures from the surface of liquid is called evaporation.
(b) The amount of heat energy requir by ice to melt into water is called the latent heat of fusion of ice.
(c) Wet clothes should be spread out while drying because when the surface area increases, then the rate of evaporation increases. Hence, on spreading out the clothes, the rate of evaporation becomes more , thereby drying up the cloth easily
