sustainable development is the development basically involves the use of the present resources in such a way that it must fulfill the need of the present people as well as it is also preserved for the futuristic generation.

Sustainable development is that which matches the needs of present without damaging the environment and compromising with the needs of future generation.

Sustainable development is difficult to be achieved, because of factors such as industrial development ( multi-national corporations do not want environmental regulations), economic and political growth (developed countries want to become more powerful and rich.) etc. But its not impossible.

When we do or create something in such a way that it will not jeopardize the lives of the future generation then you are doing sustainable development.

We can follow simple steps like not wasting food and water, using energy saving devices, not wasting fuel, living a clean and green life then you are practicing a sustainable lifestyle.

For your information, A sustainable developments goal (SDG) list was established in 2015 and adopted by the UN Sustainable development summit. they include goals like, Ending poverty , achieve food security , ensure healthy lives, achieve gender equality, empower women, build resilient infra-structure, promote inclusive sustainable economic growth, conserve sustainability of water resources, revitalize global partnership for sustainable growth.

Hope this helps!. :D
