b. there are 5 types of tropisms.. they are:

phototropism~ response of plant toward light

hydrotropism~ response of plant towards water

chemotropism~response of plant towards chemicals..

thygmotropism~response of plant towards touch

geotropism~response of plant towards gravity.

c.tropic movements are dependent on growth whereas nastic movements are independent of growth... eg: mimosa plant(touch me not)..
