(a) What is meant by "water of crystallisation" in a substance ? Explain with an example.

Water of crystallization is the fixed number of water molecules present in one formula unit of a salt. Or we can say water stoichiometrically bound into crystal. For example, chemical formula of hydrated copper sulphate is CuSO4.
