a) methane is the simplest hydrocarbon. The bond is single bond.

c) methane is poor conductor of electricity as they are covalent compounds and don't have free electrons. It has low melting and boiling point as less force of attraction is present between it's atoms.

d) yellow flame of burner indicates that the gas inlets are blocked that is why yellow flames are formed in place of blue.

e) CH4 + 2O2 = 2H2O +CO2
