Answer:

a =Cutting is removing a portion of the stem and fixing it in the soil to allow the growth of roots and buds growing into shoots. While Grafting is joining a part of a living plant to another causing it to grow as a part of the second plant.

b= Advantages of grafting method: (i) It enables us to combine the most desirable characteristics of the two plants in its flowers and fruits. (ii) It can be used to produce varieties of seedless fruits. (i) A small part of the plant which is removed by making a cut with a sharp knife is called cutting.
