A.Elements of group 17 are called Halogens.Halogen is a geek word which means salt .They are non metal. They react with metal to form salt.

  1. REACTIVITY:They are most negative reactors because they want to obtain one electron to complete their octet.

2. halogens become darker As You Go Down in the group .Fluorine is very pale yellow. chlorine is yellow green and bromine is Red Brown .Iodine crystals are Shiny purple .

3.Fluorine and chlorine are in gaseous form.Bromine is in liquid form and Iodine is in solid form.
