a) The Sanskrit word which refer to the River Indus is Sindhu. This Indus River is originated from the Tibetan Plateau . The river Indus. Flows through a distance of 3180 kilometres which originate from Tibetan Plateau and  through the Ladakh it entered to the Pakistan and it finally merge in the Arabian Sea. Therefore we can say it flows through the north west part of India.

b) The Greeks use to refer to the River Indus is Indos. This name was adopted by Persian Achaemenid Empire .T his name was changed by Roman empire and named this river as Indus river.
