a straight line is the graph between V and I and slope represents resistance = V/I

Hey mate !!!
The shape of the line is straight between the applied potential & current flowing through it becoz the applied potential is directly proportional to the current flowing through the conductor. The graph has a constant slope.
Slope at each point represents the resistance.
