(a) oblate spheroid, or oblate ellipsoid

(b) Plot 2D and 3D Views of the Earth, Including Major Coastline. Basic functions for plotting 2D and 3D views of a sphere, by default the Earth with its major coastline, and additional lines and points.

(c) approximately 23°27′ N

(d) Torrid Zone.,Temperate Zone.,Frigid Zone.

(e) Parallels of latitude are the circles which are parallels from the equator to the poles whereas the lines of reference running from the North Pole to the South Pole are called meridians of longitude.

(f) The mid-day sun directly faces the area between the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn. So the heat received is maximum at these latitudes. These latitudes fall under the Torrid Zone

(g) The Earth rotates 1° in four minute. Therefore, the time in India is 5 hrs and 28 minutes ahead of London (since India is located to the east of Greenwich). So if the time in London is 12:00 pm, we will add 5 hrs and 30 minutes to it which will be 5:30 pm.

thank you

god bless you
