Answer:

P=₹11,840.

T=4 years

R=12%.

SI=P×T×R/100.

=11,840×4×12/100.

=47360×12/100.

=568320/100.

=₹5683.2.

Answer:

Given, A= 11,840 rs., T = 4 yrs, R= 12%

Let the Principle be 100 rs.

I= P×T×R/100 = 100×4×12/100= 48 rs.

A=P+I = 100+48=148 rs.

If amount is 148 rs. then the principal = 100 rs.

If amount is 1 rs. then the principal =100/148

If amount is 11840 rupees then the principal= 100/148×11,840/1 = 100×80= 8000 rs.

hence,the required sum is 1000 rupees.
