On their way to attack Macbeth's castle they cut down branches from the trees in Birnam Wood to use as camouflage. When the wood moves, one of the witches' prophecies come true. Macduff reveals that he was born by a caesarean birth and kills Macbeth, fulfilling the final prophecy.

Answer:Macbeth and Banquo while returning victorious from the battle were stopped by three witches. The first of them saluted Macbeth with the title of Thane of Glamis, second of them saluted him with the title of Thane of Cawdor and the third bid to him the title of the king. They also prophesied that Banquo would never reign, yet his sons after him would be kings in Scotland.
Macbeth was made Thane of Cawdor by the King. Later he murdered the King when he visited the castle of Macbeth and took the throne. Banquo was also murdered by Macbeth but his son fled.
