let the radius of wheel be r
then its perimeter will be 2πr
in 50 revolution it covers distance =222m
                                   50 x 2πr=222
                                              r=222/50 x 2 x π
                                              r=0.70 m
therefore diameter =2r=2 x 0.70
                           =1.4 m ans..

Answer:

When the wheel completes 1 revolution, it travels a distance of it's circumference.

Therefore, 50 revolutions are made to travel a distance of 222 m.

→ 1 revolution = 222 m / 50 revolutions

→ 1 revolution = 4.44 m

Hence in 1 revolution, 4.44 m of distance is covered.

Hence the circumference of the feel is 4.44 m.

We know that,

→ Circumference of a wheel = 2πr

→ 2 × 3.14 × r = 4.44 m

→ r = 4.44 m / 6.28

r = 0.7 m ( approx. )

Therefore Diameter is calculated as: 2 × 0.7 m = 1.4 m
