It will take approximately 5 hours.

Given data :

Diameter of the wheel = 40 cm

RPM = 50

Total distance = 18840 m = 1884000 cm

Now,

The wheel's radius = 40/2 = 20 cm

Perimeter = (2× π × 20) = 125.7 cm

Distance covered in one minute = (perimeter × RPM) = (125.7 ×50) = 6285 cm

So,

Wheel covers 6285 cm in = 1 min

1 cm in = 1/6285 min

1884000 cm in = 1884000/6285 = 299.76 = 300 mins = 5 hours (approx) (answer)
