solution.

Circumference of wheel= 2*3.1* 10

= 62 cm

so, distance travell in 1 rottation= 62cm.

Now, distance traveld in 600 rotaion= 62*600

= 37200 cm
or, 372m

So, Velocity= 372m/ min.

Answer:

The linear velocity of the particle at its rim is 6.28 m/s.

Explanation:

Given that,

Diameter = 20 cm

Radius = 0.1 m

Speed \omega =600\ rpm

\omega=600\times\dfrac{2\pi}{60}

\omega=62.8\ rad/s

The linear velocity of the particle is the product of the angular velocity and radius.

The linear velocity is

v= r\omega

v= 0.1\times62.8

v= 6.28\ m/s

Hence, The linear velocity of the particle at its rim is 6.28 m/s.
