Hey Dear,

● Answer -

s = 81.22 m

◆ Explanation -

Total horizontal displacement will be -

x = 3/4 × 2πr + r

x = 3/4 × 2 × 3.142 × 14 + 14

x = 80 cm

Vertical displacement of the wheel will be -

y = r

y = 14 cm

Resultant displacement of the point of contact can be given by -

s = √(x^2 + y^2)

s = √(80^2 + 14^2)

s = √(6596)

s = 81.22 m

Therefore, displacement of the point of contact is 81.22 m.
