(b)evaporation causing cooling. when water evaporates it takes away the latent heat of vaporization from the pot and also water .hence the water gets cooled

b) when water is kept in earthen pot it gets cold because there are tiny holes in earthen Pot that small holes help in evaporation. since evaporation produce cooling effect
