This statement is clearly justified by the chapter. In the chapter we have observed the religiousness of the grandmother. From the beginning of the day, she used to chant prayers in her monotonous voice and also wanted to spend every moment of her life for prayers and temples. When she was in her deathbed, she did not stop to pray. When she died, the flock of sparrows, whom she used to feed daily were quite and expressed their sorrow on demise of the seren grandmother. So when people are pious, even nature mourns their death.
