the prostate gland produce about 60% of liquid while the seminal vesical produces about 40% to semen.

(A) The fluid part of semen is constituted mainly by the Seminal gland (more commonly referred as Seminal vesicles) and the Prostate gland. Infect, together with these two glands, epididymis and vas deference also contribute fluid elements in semen production.
(B) Advantages that semen offers to the sperms are :-
(1) The alkalinity of semen helps in neutralizing the acidity of the Vaginal tract,prolonging the lifespan of the sperms.
(2) The semen fluids provide nutrients to sperms,give better motility to spermatozoa to reach the site of fertilization(fallopian tube ) where it unites with ovum to form the zygote.Hope it helps. Thanks.
