a) the precautions to be taken while using a metre scale to measure lengths are as follows: 1) the scale should be placed to the side of the object being measured. it it should also be in touch with the object being measured. 2) reading the scale, eye must be placed vertically above the scale mark b grade being read .

b) sometimes a body can have more than one type of motion. such a motion is called mixed motion. example:- 1) the wheels of a moving train have both the translatory as well as the rotatory motions as it moves from position A to position B while rotating.

c) archaeologist have uncovered several simple measurement tools along with measurement unit utilized by ancient people. some of them are protractor, sundial, barometer, thermometer, etc .
