A white colour solid is heated evolved colourless, odourless but when the gas is passed through lime water it turns milky . Name the compound and gas and the chemical equation?

The white colured compound is calcium carbonate.
And the gas evolves here on heating is carbon dioxide.

CaCO3 On decompose leads to CaO and liberates CO2 gas.
