When CaCl2 is added with H2SO4 a white precipitate is formed because

there is formation of CaSO4 which is insoluble

Chemical reaction:

CaCl2+H2SO4-------------》CaSO4+HCl

But when ZnCl2 is added there is no formation of precipitate because there is formation of ZnSO4 during reaction which is soluble.

Chemical reaction:

ZnCl2+H2SO4---------------》ZnSO4+HCl
