Common salt solution gives white precipitate on reacting with Silver nitrate (AgNO₃)

AgNO₃+ NaCl → AgCl↓ (white ppt) + NaNO₃

AgCl is the white coloured precipitate formed.

Silver Nitrate(AgNO3) is the solution in which when common salt(NaCl) dissolves, forms white precipitate..

The white precipitate formed is AgCl..

Thus, the reaction is :-

NaCl + AgNO3 → AgCl (white) ↓ + NaNO3..
