A white salt on heating decomposes to give brown fumes and a yello residue is left behind. Name the salt and write the decomposition reaction.

Salt - Lead Nitrate [ Pb(NO3)2 ]
Equation :-

2Pb(NO3)2 —>2PbO + 4NO2 + O2

Hi there, 

The salt in which asked could be nitrate, but if the yellow residue is left after heating means it possibly could be Lead nitrate..

Equation;-
2Pb(NO3)2--------HEAT-------->2PbO+4NO2+O2
