A white shirt has an yellow strain of curry .when soap is rubbed on it ,the yellow colour changes to reddish brown. on rinsing the shirt with plenty of water the colour changes back to yellow again.name the natural indicator present in curry.why does the colour changes during washing and rinsing? its the soap acidic or basic

Turmeric is the natural indicater present in curry.soap is a basic substance , turmeric changes its colour when it comes in contact of base from yellow to reddish brown.

Curry contains turmeric. Turmeric is an indicator which gives red colour with a base since soap is a base so we get red colour.

Hence , the natural indicator is turmeric and the soap is basic in nature...
