• Pandita Ramabai Sarasvati was born on 23 April 1858 in Canara district,  Madras, British India.

• She was a women's rights & education activist. She was the first woman to receive the title of Pandita.

• She founded the organization, Mukti Mission at Kedgaon Village. It was later named to Pandita Ramabai Mukti Mission.

• Pandita Ramabai died on 5th April 1922 at the age of 63 in Bombay Presidency, British India.
