Solution :-

Let us assume that, the price of rambutans per kg is Rs.x .

so,

→ The price of dragonfruit per kg = 3 * x = Rs.3x .

now,

→ Price of 9 kg of rambutans = x * 9 = Rs.9x

→ Price of 18 kg of dragonfruits = 18 * 3x = Rs.54x

then,

→ SP of rambutans at a profit of 10% = CP * (100 + profit) / 100 = (9x * 110)/100 = Rs.9.9x

→ SP of dragonfruits at a profit of 22% = CP * (100 + profit) / 100 = (54x * 122)/100 = Rs.65.88x

so,

→ Total cost price for shopkeeper = 9.9x + 65.88x = Rs.75.78x

then,

→ Dragonfruits left after 6kg lost = 18 - 6 = 12kg .

→ Rambutans left after 3kg lost = 9 - 3 = 6kg .

given that,

  • The shopkeeper mixed the remaining fruits and sold the mixture at Rs. 170 per kg, thus making an overall profit of 25%.

therefore,

→ 75.78x * (125/100) = (12 + 6) * 170

→ 75.78x * (5/4) = 18 * 170

→ 378.9x = 72 * 170

→ 378.9x = 12240

→ x ≈ Rs.32.30

hence,

→ The price of dragonfruit per kg = 3x = 32.30 * 3 = Rs.96.9 ≈ Rs.97 (Ans.)

The wholesaler buy the Dragon fruit at Rs.97 per kg.
