discount =20% of 1250
=20/100×1250
=250/-
thus CP for the retailer= 1250 - 250
= 1000/-
In order to gain 15% profit the fan must be sold at =
$1000 + (1000 \times 15 \div 100)$
=1000 + 150
=1150/-
