(a) Why are colour-blindness and thalassaemia categorised as Mendelian disorders? Write the symptoms of these diseases seen in people suffering from them.
(b) About 8% of human male population suffers from colour-blindness, whereas only about 0.4% of human female population suffers from this disease. Write an explanation to show how it is possible.

they are mendelian disorders .

in thalasemia- even at small cut the blood flowing doesnt stopped as blood clotting factors are not working as suppresed.

it is three types ..alpha thalasemia ...80%of the people suffers ...beta thalasemia,20%of people suffers and gama thalassemia.

in colour blindness ..a suffered people doesnt able to distinguish betwen orange and greencolour..a person who cant distinguish betn orange colour called -protanopia ..and the person who cant distingish betn green colour called deutranopia
