(a) Why are decomposition reactions called the opposite of combination reactions ? Explain with equations
of these reactions.
(b) Express the following facts in the form of a balanced chemical equation :

in combination reaction two or more combines to form one product
in decomposition reaction one reactant is break in two or more product

vaisnichauv2212: Decomposition reaction are those reaction in which a compound is broken into two or more new compounds
CaCO3=CaO+CO2
Combination reaction are those reaction in which two substance are combined to form a new substance
CaO+CO2=CaCO3+energy
In above examples,both the reaction are same but show opposite direction,so decomposition reaction called the opposite of combination reaction
(B)Cu(s)+2AgNO3(aq)-------Cu(NO3)2(aq)+2Ag(s)
