(a)  They can't make their own food by using photosynthesis because they lacks photosynthetic pigments chlorophyll and live in association with algae in the form of Lichen where algae provides food and nutrition to fungi and fungi provides shelter to algae.

(b) Fungi can be harmful to us because there are some kind of fungi which releases certain toxins which are harmful.

(c) There are many medicines and if fungi is absent so the production of antibiotics will be affected.
