gold is used to make ornaments because of its lusture ( shine)
gold ornaments do change their appearence on the exposure of air and so do silver ornaments appear black appearence after some time in process of rusting
the gold looses its lusture and silver appear black and copper appears greenish
hope it helps.

a) Gold is soft and flexible metal. It can be easily moulded.
b) sliver (Ag) + Oxygen (O2)- sliver oxide. Because sliver can change it's appearance by reacting with Oxygen. Where as gold can react with any metal but it doesn't change it's chemical appearance.
