A window of dimensions 3m by 2m is on the wall of dimension 10m x 10m.
Find the cost of painting the wall if the rate of painting is ₹ 2.50 per square
metre.

We know that

A(window) = lb

A = 3  x 2

A = 6 m

Then,

Area(Wall) = side  x side

Area = 10  x 10

Area = 100 m

Cost = Rs. 2.5 × (100 - 6)

Cost = Rs. 2.5  ×  94

Cost = ₹ 235
