2 kg

Solution:

Let the weight of wine be x kg and container be y kg.

x + y = 6 \: \: \: (eqn \: 1)

3/4th wine is consumed.

Wine left = 1/4 x kg

 = \frac{1}{4}x + y = 3 \: \: \: (eqn \: 2)

Multiply eqn 2 by 4.

x + 4y = 12 \: \: \: (eqn \: 3)

Subtract eqn 1 from eqn 3.

x + 4y - x - y = 12 - 6 \\ 3y = 6 \\ y = 2

So, weight of container is 2 kg.
