A wine connoisseur had Rs. 5000. She used some of that money to buy two wine bottles, and then sold them both for Rs. 2400 each. She made a profit of 50% on one and a loss of 20% on the other. How many rupees does she have left now?

Answer:

920 rupees

step:

both are same prize but she get profit on 1 and loss on 1 lets find its profit and loss

2400×50÷100=240×5=1200

she got 1200 profit on 1 bottle = prize of bottle profit - amount = 2400-1200=1200 she buy 1 bottle in 1200

now lets find loss =2400×20÷100=240×2=480

she got loss of 480 on 1 bottle so 2400-480=1920

she buy 1 bottle in 1200 and 1 in 1920

after buying she have 5000-2400-2400=200

but a profit of 1200 and loss of 1920 = 1200-1920=720

so 200+720=920

she now have 920 rupees
