Given :-
The sides of the rectangle are 13.5cm and 6.5cm. i.e.,
Length(L) = 13.5cm.
Breath(B) = 6.5cm.
So, the perimeter of the rectangle is
P = 2(L + B)
= 2(13.5 + 6.5)
= 2(20) = 40cm
Since the length of the wire will remain constant so the perimeter of the rectangle is equal to the perimeter of the square.
=> Perimeter of Square = 40cm
and we know that
4a = perimeter of the square
( where a represents the length of the side )
=> 4a = 40cm
=> a = 10cm
Hence the length of side of the square is 10cm.
