Answer:

side of square = 12cm

perimeter = 4×side

=4×12

=48cm

length of rectangle = 18cm

let breadth = x

perimeter = 2(l+b)

=48cm

2(l+b)=48

2(18+x)=48

36+2x=48

2x=48-36

2x=12

x=12/2

x=6cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Step-by-step explanation:

A wire is used to make a square with a side of 12cm...

Area of square :- 4(s)

:- 4(12)

:-48cm²

Same wire used to make a rectangle with length :- 18cm

we have to find breadth :- x

☞︎︎︎2(l+b)=48

☞︎︎︎2(18+x)=48

☞︎︎︎36+2x=48

☞︎︎︎2x=48-36

☞︎︎︎2x=12

☞︎︎︎x=12/2

☞︎︎︎x=6

Breadth of the rectangle is 6cm...

Check :-

2(18+6)=48

2(24)=48

48cm²=48cm²// (proved)
