a wire having resistance 20 ohms is stretched by 5% what is the new resistance of wire.

The length is doubled by uniform stretching i.e.area is reduced to half,volume remaining constant. The resistance is directly proportional to length which is doubled,and inversely proportional to area that is reduced to half,hence the new resistance will be 4 times the original resistance
